Amaechi’s supporters protest voting process in Rivers

Hundreds of protesters chanting “APC” took to the streets of Port Harcourt Sunday to protest what they said was intimidation by agents of the PDP.
The protesters, led by Senator Magnus Abe, later trooped to the state office of INEC in Port Harcourt, watched by dozens of police.
Abe accused the ruling party of intimidation and warned that the APC might not accept the result of the election in the state.
‎”There was no election in Rivers,” APC polling agent Achinike William-Wobodo said.
The APC reported violence in Rivers state and blamed it on “armed militias” backed by Jonathan’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“Whatever trash will (be) announced as the result of today’s election is not acceptable to us,” the APC said. “A sham and a charade.”
Meanwhile, governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, also went on television to denounce the conduct of the election in his region and accused the military of meddling in the result.
