Baba Sala is alive – Son

 Ailing comedian, Apostle Moses Olaiya Adejumo, popularly known as Baba Sala, is alive.

“Baba is alive and not dead,” the artist’s first son, Reverend Adejeji Adejumo, told CITY VOICE on the telephone on Wednesday.

Speaking against the background of his rumoured death, Reverend Adejumo stressed that though  his father is sick and needs help, “he is alive and currently in his country home in  Ilesa, Osun State.”

Corroborating the cleric, one of his siblings,  Mayowa Adejumo wrote on Facebook:  “Rumours no dey tire some people o, pls I need the same set of people spreading the death rumour of my dad to also help spread rumours that the pump price of a litre of petrol is now back to N87, that a bag of rice is now N7,500 so that we all flood filling stations so the government can come out to tell us its d work of the opposition, let’s try it, o le werk, it may lead to d price reversal, Nonzenze.”

Meanwhile, one of Baba Sala’s biographers, Collins Oyedokun, has announced Oriental Hotel, Lekki, as venue for the launch of ‘Triumph of Destiny’, a book he co-wrote with two others.

The book which foreword is written by Professor Gbemisola Adeoti of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife,  will be launched on December 14
