By Onuora Aninwobodo

President Muhammadu Buhari has nationalized insecurity in Nigeria and the military cannot stop the upsurge, the member representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu of Kogi State in the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Ayo Yusuf has said.

Tajudeen said that although insecurity did not start from this present administration, but lack of political will and the Buhari’s open support towards people from his area has fueled the current insecurity.

He stated that some Nigerians have resolved to secure their lives as they are aware that the government has failed to secure their lives and property.

The law maker maintained that the National Assembly cannot even help in the present situation, because it is a true reflection of the Nigerian factor and the boldness of the legislators has been whittled down.

The one time Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Capital Market and other institutions, Tajudeen Yusuf said it is utterly regrettable and very worrisome that human beings can be wantonly shot and slaughtered in their dwellings.

He said that the day President Buhari will be fair to all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion and affiliation and Nigerians start seeing his fairness, the insecurity will stop.

The Kogi lawmaker is of the view that Nigeria is where it is at the moment because of the failure of the political class to deliver good leadership.

He said that until a man is ready to die for a course he believes in, he or she is not worthy of living and that anyone that is not comfortable with a contrary view is not worth being a leader.
