Several musicians including D’Banj, Tuface, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Waje, Ara, Iyanya, Banky W, Tunde Edward, MayD, Dammy Krane, Sean Tizzle, Eldee, ICE Prince, M.I, Don Jazz and Olamide performed at the 2013 Lagos Countdown held at the Bar Beach on New Year’s Eve.
The Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency (LASAA), organized the show on behalf of the state government.
It was a night of high entertainment for revellers who made their way to the venue as the artistes kept them occupied throughout.
Aside the music, fun seekers were also treated to a massive fireworks display. The fireworks lit up the sky around the beach and left the audience amazed.
Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka anchored the program which also featured actress Funke Akindele and female talking drummer, Ara.
‘Kukere’ crooner, Iyanya disappointed on the night as he sang songs people were not familiar with. Tuface Idibia however enlivened things by doing a number of his popular tracks while ‘Koko’ master, D’Banj and Burna Boy increased the tempo as they performed into the early hours of January 1.
The shirtless duo performed their new song ‘Won Da Mo’ to the delight of female fans while D’Banj got a bit raunchy with a female fan that came to dance on stage.
On the whole, it was a most enjoyable night for Lagosians who made their way to the beach.
