Insecurity: Adamawa governor presents 30 vehicles, Motorcycles to hunters

Governor of Adamawa state,  Umaru Fintiri has presented 30 Hilux trucks to the 21 local government council chairmen in Adamawa for onward distribution to hunters.

Ten motorcycles were also presented to the Operation Farauta during the event that held in the Government House, Yola.

The vehicles were expected to be used as means to  tackle issues of crimes, kidnappings, cattle rustling, and Shilla boys among other security challenges.

Fintiri also charged the hunters to utilize the vehicles and tackle issues of crimes in the state.

He announced that the state government will soon send another set of six hundred hunters to Police College, Maiduguri for training having recently sent 300 for that purpose.

The Executive Chairman Maiha LG, Idi Aminu  alongside capacity Supervisory Councilor Works And Housing, Dauda Abubakar and Major Baduwa Rtd received a brand new patrol Hilux vans and 5 new motorcycles to fight insecurity between Nigerian and Cameroon borders.

“The Vans and Motorcycles will be handed over to  the Joint Task Force that has been set by Nigerian and Cameroon securities soon to kick off their daily patrol between Nigerian Borders and that of Cameroon Republic,” Aminu said.

He thanked Fintiri for taking security as first priority and serious business of his Administration.

Aminu recently led a Nigerian Delegation to Cameroon Republic for International Security meeting in other to join hand with Cameroon security in fighting insecurity between Nigeria and Cameroon Borders.

The event was attended by Security Commanders in the state, local government council chairmen and members of the Hunters Association.
