Segun Odegbami receives membership card of Labour Party

The former Green Eagles Captain and sports entrepreneur, Chief Segun Odegbami formally received the membership card of Labour Party at Imosan ward in Wasinmi, Ewekoro local government, Ogun State on Tuesday.

His LP’s registration is coming five days after his public declaration to contest for the Governorship seat on the platform of LP.

He also filled the financial register of the party and also signed the party’s membership register.

Odegbami, who was welcomed into the party by the State Chairman of LP, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi, said he decided to join the Labour Party because he was convinced of the party’s programmes and manifesto.

He said he will contest as Governor under Labour Party in order to better the lots of the people.

Chief Odegbami said he put welfare of the people of the state a priority if elected the governor of the state in the 2019 general elections.

He noted that qualitative health care delivery and education would be his priority when he gets to power.

He said, “our government which would be led by Labour Party will provide qualitative healthcare delivery system by building hospitals where necessary. Necessary facilities for proper care, including drugs and personnel would be provided.

“I believe that only people with sound health can work and even enjoy any amenities provided by government”.

Arabambi said Chief Odegbami is one of the credible individuals in the country today, adding that the party was happy to have him.
