Undergraduates, youth corper join Tuface, Davido, Wizkid on StarTrek 2015

Three undergraduates and a youth corps member will join artistes Davido, Tuface, Yemi Alade, Wizkid and others for the 2015 edition of Star Music Trek. Halimat Abubakar, Jimi Falusi, Pamela Bello and Opeyemi Kareem were the lucky four chosen to join the Trek after sharing their superstar stories online using the hashtag #MySuperStarStory.

The quartet was revealed at the Star Music Trek Artiste Sign on Party held last week at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event, which featured performances from Lil Kesh, Skales and Oritsefemi was attended by Yaw, Naeto C, Yung L, Endia, Black Magic, Faze and Mr. Raw amongst others.

Halimat Abubakar who studies English at the University of Ilorin, aspires to own a makeup accessories studio one day. She revealed that she overcame opposition from her dad and discouragement from friends to attend makeup school and eventually become a makeup artist.

Jimi Falusi who studies Engineering at Covenant University overcame losing both of his parents to remain focused and in school.

Pamela Bello, a serving youth corps member who loves to rap and dreams of becoming a rapper revealed that she has suffered a number of discouragements and rejections, but she still holds on to her dream of becoming a rapper.

Completing the quartet is Opeyemi Kareem, a Computer Science student at the Yaba College of Technology who revealed that he took his dad’s advice to remain in school despite having discovered blogging and a love of computers.

The four will tour selected cities with artistes unveiled at the sign on party including MI, Seyi Shay, Timaya, Wande Coal, Burna Boy, Naeto C, Mr Raw, Oritsefemi, Faze, Runtown, Cynthia Morgan, Banky W, Sean Tizzle, Pasuma, Sound Sultan and Black Magic.
